1. Acceptance

By accessing qx9.org or any QX9-published materials, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site or download any materials.

2. Nature of Materials

QX9 produces reference designs, open-source prototypes, protocol analysis tools, and research documentation. All materials are provided for educational, research, and development purposes only.

3. Not for Production Life-Safety Use

No QX9 material (including but not limited to code, documentation, network diagrams, protocol dissectors, and architecture references) has been certified, evaluated, or approved by any regulatory body. QX9 materials MUST NOT be used in production emergency communications systems (including NG911, E911, P25, or public safety radio dispatch) without independent professional review, testing, and certification. Any such use is entirely at the user's own risk.

4. No Warranty

All materials are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. QX9 does not warrant that materials will be error-free, complete, current, or suitable for any purpose.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QX9, its contributors, and its infrastructure providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the use of or inability to use QX9 materials, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Licensing

QX9 source code is released under MPL-2.0. QX9 documentation and diagrams are released under CC BY-SA 4.0. These licenses govern redistribution and modification. This Terms of Use governs your access to and use of qx9.org and QX9-published materials generally.

7. No Affiliation

References to third-party organizations, standards bodies, protocols, or software projects (including but not limited to NENA, Project 25, Veilid, Wireshark, Rust, FFmpeg, FSF/GNU, IETF, IANA, IAB, PQCA, and SPI) are for informational purposes only. QX9 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these organizations unless explicitly stated otherwise.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QX9 and its contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of QX9 materials, including any deployment in production systems.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the state of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes

QX9 may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
