2. What We Collect
a. Website (qx9.org): This site is hosted on GitLab Pages. QX9 does not operate the web server and does not collect or have access to web server access logs. GitLab may collect standard access log data (IP address, user-agent string, requested URL, timestamp) in accordance with their own privacy policy. QX9 does not use analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or third-party services on this site.
b. Veilid Nodes: QX9-operated Veilid nodes participate in the Veilid network as standard peers. They do not log peer traffic or store identifiable routing data beyond what the Veilid protocol requires for normal network participation (routing table entries, DHT records as defined by the protocol).
c. Email: If you contact admin@qx9.org, we retain your email address and message content for correspondence purposes.
3. Lawful Basis (GDPR Art. 6)
a. Website hosting: GitLab processes web server data under their own lawful basis.
QX9 does not collect or process web server logs.
b. Veilid node operation: Legitimate interest (network research and protocol
development).
c. Email correspondence: Consent (you initiated contact).
4. Retention
a. Website hosting: QX9 does not retain web server logs. GitLab retains access
data per their own retention policy.
b. Veilid node data: Transient; retained only as long as the protocol requires for
network operation.
c. Email: Retained for the duration of the correspondence or project relationship,
then deleted.
5. Sharing
We do not share personal data with third parties. We do not sell personal data. Website hosting is provided by GitLab Pages; Veilid node infrastructure is provided by DigitalOcean. These providers may process data as sub-processors under their own privacy policies.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact admin@qx9.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. International Transfers
QX9 operates Veilid node infrastructure in multiple countries (see Node Infrastructure on qx9.org). Veilid node data may be processed in any jurisdiction where QX9 nodes operate. Website data is processed by GitLab in accordance with their privacy policy.
8. Security
All QX9 infrastructure uses encrypted transport. Access to servers is restricted to authorized QX9 administrators.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted at qx9.org with an updated date.
